Hundreds of State Department officials can now aid in the Trump administration’s efforts to round up and deport illegal aliens.
On Thursday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem signed a memorandum deputizing “up to 600 special agents” currently serving in the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service.
“Under President Trump, the Department of Homeland Security will use every tool and resource available to secure our border and get criminal illegal aliens out of our country,” Sec. Noem stated.
“The safety of American citizens comes first.”
DHS has already taken similar action by deputizing employees of the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice.
“These deputations are a key part of giving law enforcement the resources they need to fulfill President Trump’s promise to the American people to carry out mass deportations,” DHS explained in a press release.
Sec. Noem appeared on Fox News on Thursday evening to discuss various actions she is taking to apprehend and remove “hundreds of thousands of criminals that were let illegally into this country.”
“This is an operation that we’re going to have to work at aggressively for a period of time to make sure we’re getting all those dangerous individuals out of our country, and then go on to those who have overstayed or have final removal orders,” Noem told Sean Hannity.

Earlier this week, Sec. Noem announced a massive nationwide and international ad campaign warning prospective ‘migrants’ to stay out of the U.S. – and urging illegal aliens in the country to self-deport or face removal.

“If you are here illegally, we will find you and deport you. You will never return. But if you leave now, you may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American Dream,” Noem said.
“If you are a criminal alien considering entering America illegally: Don’t even think about it. If you come here and break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the United States.”
