A “high-ranking member” of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) was arrested in Georgia amid an investigation into the execution-style shootings of three kidnapped women in Chicago earlier this year, authorities say.
On Jan. 28, Chicago police were alerted about a seriously injured woman in a South Shore neighborhood.
Officers arrived and found two females who had been shot dead in an alley and a third victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the face and chest, as InfoWars reported at the time.
She was rushed to a local hospital in grave condition, but apparently survived.
All three of the victims were identified as Hispanic females, but their immigration statuses were unclear at the time, despite claims they were “migrants.”
The Department of Justice announced the arrest of Ricardo Gonzales, 32, on Thursday in Cobb County, GA.
Various federal agencies teamed up with the Chicago Police Department to apprehend Gonzales on an outstanding warrant for kidnapping.
Gonzales was also wanted on probable cause for two counts of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
“This defendant’s crimes against American women are horrific, and he is exactly the type of Alien Enemy the Trump administration is fighting to remove from this country in order to make America safe again,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Gonzales was booked into Cobb County jail pending extradition to Chicago.
Five more people were taken into custody during Gonzales’ arrest and transferred to ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations detention facilities.
InfoWars frequently reports on the nefarious activities of Tren de Aragua, which the Trump administration recently designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
