“I heard men are still playing in Maine,” Trump told the GOP politicians gathered in Washington, D.C. “I hate to tell you this, but we’re not going to give them any federal money, they are still saying ‘we want men to play in women’s sports’ and I can not believe that they’re doing that… So we’re not going to give them any federal funding, none whatsoever, until they clean that up.”
Maine caught the president’s attention after a trans pole vaulter named John Rydzewski, or Katie Spencer under his female alter-ego, won a girl’s high school championship earlier this week.
Conservative commentator and TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk pointed out on 𝕏, “As a male pole vaulter, John Rydzewski was nothing special. But as “Katie Spencer,” he just won Maine’s high school girls championship. At a glance, can you guess why?”
The move should serve as a warning to other states considering defying the new administration.
