“The White House” official 𝕏 account posted a video Monday showing illegal aliens being deported as the hit 1990s song “Closing Time” by Semisonic plays, with the lyrics stating, “You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here.”
During the portion of the song that says, “I know who I want to take me home,” a Border Patrol truck stands in the forefront of the shot as illegals are loaded onto an airplane.
The social media post may be a troll related to the Trump administration’s feud with a federal judge who tried to block the government from deporting hundreds of illegal immigrants back to El Salvador, but was too late as the criminals were already en route.
The clever video highlights how the Trump administration has expertly used social media to spread its message to the American people.
