Federal authorities arrested a foreign fugitive wanted for heinous crimes against a child in Texas this week, according to reports.
David Argueta-Marquez, 29, was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday at a job site in Kimper, KY.
Argueta-Marquez, who was reportedly living in nearby West Virginia and working with a local tree cutting company, was wanted Harris County, TX, on charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault of a child.
In November of 2022, Argueta-Marquez and three other suspects allegedly kidnapped a 16-year-old girl at gunpoint and then sexually assaulted her.
“The U.S. Marshals Service also said Argueta-Marquez is under investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and was an alleged member of a street gang in El Salvador,” WSAZ reports.
