Comedian Bill Maher and conservative commentator Charlie Kirk discussed a slew of political topics during a recent podcast, including the controversy surrounding biological males participating in female sports.

While the duo disagreed on several topics, they both believe Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot by refusing to budge and continuing to support “trans women” playing in girls’ athletics.

“Of all the low-lying fruit that the Democrats just like hand the Republicans to win elections, that’s the one,” Maher said.

Kirk mocked the left for being unable to “surrender on this one issue” when the masses overwhelmingly oppose the notion of men competing against women.

While the pair agreed on the topic of trans people infiltrating female sports, they did not see eye to eye about some people being born in the wrong body.

Regarding the woke far-left, Maher claimed they hate him more than Kirk because “they hate their own apostates.”

“I’m supposed to get on the short bus to crazy town with them—and I won’t,” he said.

Kirk and Maher also talked at length about Christianity, from the Ten Commandments to homosexuality.

Asked if he hopes deep down that Heaven exists and he’s wrong about Christianity, Maher dodged the question and said he hopes scientists figure out a way to make humans immortal.

“I hope they figure out how I can live forever. I like it here, with you, Charlie, drinking this, and smoking pot. I’m having a great time. I really can’t imagine it better,” he answered.

Despite the fact that Maher was drinking and smoking pot while Kirk practiced sobriety, Charlie said he thinks Bill should be allowed to get inebriated while stopping short of advocating for the legalization of marijuana.

The biggest argument of the conversation focused on illegal immigrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia of El Salvador, who was recently deported by the Trump administration.

Maher alleged the Trump administration “did not present evidence” that the illegal alien is an MS-13 gang member.

Kirk noted MS-13 is labeled a terrorist organization and that regardless of whether or not he is a member of the gang, the illegal was violating the law by living in America.

Overall, the conversation serves as a good example of Americans with opposing viewpoints engaging in peaceful dialogue while seeking truth.
