A new study by the University of Texas published in Oxford’s Journal of Sexual Medicine reveals transgender individuals who underwent gender altering surgery were “at significantly higher risk for depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders” than trans people who have not gone through surgeries.

Titled, “Examining gender-specific mental health risks after gender-affirming surgery,” the study examined 107,583 patients between June 2014 and June 2024.

In the end, the study found, “Gender-affirming surgery, while beneficial in affirming gender identity, is associated with increased risk of mental health issues, underscoring the need for ongoing, gender-sensitive mental health support for transgender individuals post-surgery.”

The paper is noteworthy as the main narrative from doctors and leftists who support the insane trans movement, specifically targeting minors, is that those suffering from gender dysphoria are at risk of suicide if they DON’T get gender surgeries.

“Phony doctors belong in prison for what they did to our children,” stated TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk.

“Be a shame if this study went viral,” wrote Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec.

𝕏 owner Elon Musk wrote, “Sex change surgery severely harms mental health.”
