Half a dozen illegal aliens were apprehended during targeted enforcement operations in one of the top ski towns in the U.S., according to reports.
U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Spokane Sector welcomed NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley for a ride-along on Tuesday in Whitefish, Montana.
During one bust, USBP agents, working closely with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), apprehended five illegal aliens, including a Mexican male with four prior deportations who was hiring fellow illegals to work for him, Spokane Sector Acting Chief Jason Liebe explained.
“He was living here in town, running a business in town, as well, and employing illegal aliens,” Liebe said.

Agents also apprehended another Mexican illegal who was traveling in a car driven by a Venezuelan alien.
The Mexican was ‘on the radar,’ indicating he likely had a criminal record, while the Venezuelan was covered by Temporary Protected Status and was released.
“We’ve made significant improvements on targeted arrests here. I think we are well over 100 percent of where we were last year, year-to-date,” Liebe said.
USBP agents in Spokane Sector are now able to do their jobs much more effectively because they aren’t being redirected to the southwest border or helping to virtually process ‘asylum seekers.’
Last week, a member of Jalisco New Generation Cartel – designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the Trump administration – was arrested in Spokane Sector, according to Liebe.
Last month, ICE apprehended 17 illegals during a worksite enforcement operation in Bigfork, another upscale enclave in Flathead County, MT.
Federal authorities continue to catch illegal aliens across Montana, including dangerous criminals and terrorists.
