Over 300 federal agents joined by local law enforcement participated in the massive operation that was the climax of a long-term investigation by the DEA and other agencies.
DEA Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Pullen told reporters that Colorado Springs “was waking up to a safer community” today after pink cocaine, evidence of prostitution, and multiple firearms were also found during the raid.
“Colorado Springs is waking up safer today,” said Pullen. “In our investigation, we have noticed Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and I believe Hell’s Angels in this club.”
Pullen added that illegals and drug trafficking go “hand in hand” in a response to critics claiming the bust seemed outside of the DEA’s purview.
“These crimes go hand in hand,” said Pullen. “When we find drug trafficking and prostitution – unfortunately we’re finding a lot of illegal aliens – there where over 200 people in the club and over half were illegals.”
“The DEA is going to continue to work to keep our community safe no matter what the criticism is we are not going to accept drug trafficking and prostitution in our cities.”
After the raid, the Rocky Mountain DEA released a statement saying they are partnering with Homeland Security to place the arrested illegals on buses for processing and likely eventual deportation.
