The suspect ripped down Interstate 35 at speeds topping 100 mph before eventually exiting and continuing on surface streets.
The driver then lost control and crashed head-on into a wall outside a home before reversing and tearing off again in the severely damaged Dodge as the hood flapped in front of the windshield, obstructing his view.
Eventually, the suspect collided with another vehicle and bailed out.
During the ensuing foot pursuit, the suspect ran onto private property before being cornered on a porch behind a home.
A TxDPS trooper utilized a Taser to neutralize the suspect, who was taken into custody.
He was identified as Humberto Garcia, a resident of Laredo, TX.
“Garcia is charged with smuggling of persons, evading arrest, reckless driving, and failure to stop and render aid,” TxDPS spokesman Lt. Chris Olivarez explained in a statement.
“Four illegal immigrants were found in the vehicle and referred to U.S. Border Patrol.”
Dangerous smuggling pursuits unfold constantly along the U.S.-Mexico border, as InfoWars frequently reports.
