Trump administration FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced in an 𝕏 post on Tuesday that he’s instructed his team to double their efforts to locate the people or groups behind the recent swatting spree targeting Trump supporters.
“SWATTING is deadly serious,” he stated. “The potential for serious injury or death is high. I’ve asked our team to double efforts to locate the people and/or groups behind it. I’m on the road in our field offices handling other sensitive matters but I’ll be monitoring progress and I hope to have some updates soon.”
Infowars has been at the center of the swatting crisis, with host Chase Geiser last month being the first high-profile individual to fall victim to the terrorists’ attempts to get pro-Trump commentators killed by police officers responding to hoax 911 calls.
Geiser was swatted twice within 12 hours the day after the late Infowars writer Jamie White was brutally gunned down outside his Austin, Texas, apartment by assailants who have yet to be caught.
Journalist Nick Sortor joined “The Alex Jones Show” after he too was swatted the same week as Geiser and dozens of others.
Another Infowars host, Owen Shroyer, was held at gunpoint by Austin police officers who called him out of his home in the middle of the night just days after Geiser was swatted.
The sick individuals behind the terrorist attacks even started sending pizza orders to conservatives with Jamie White’s name on the receipts.
In addition to Bongino’s announcement, FBI Director Kash Patel previously addressed the dangerous swatting attacks on pro-Trump media personalities in a social media post, writing, “The FBI is aware of this dangerous trend, and my team and I are already taking action to investigate and hold those responsible accountable.”
Alex Jones reported last month that Texas and federal officials have reached out to Shroyer about the swatting incidents.
Time will tell what comes of the FBI’s investigation into the terror campaign.
