On Wednesday the United States Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump ordered his missiles in Ukraine be ‘turned off’, preventing Ukraine from launching them at Russia. U.S. missiles have previously been launched deep into Russia under the Biden administration in a move that risked nuclear war.
“Crucial intelligence for long-range missiles such as Himars, which have been key to holding back the Russian offensive, went dark at about 2pm on Wednesday,” the Telegraph said Wednesday night. “White House officials said the U.S. would only lift the ban on sharing the data if it could ‘nail down negotiations’ with Ukraine, which are expected to cover the minerals deal that was put on ice after the clash in the Oval Office last Friday between Mr Zelensky and Donald Trump.”
The move to disable the missiles came along with Trump ceasing intelligence sharing with Ukraine on Wednesday and the end of Ukraine’s military aid from the U.S. on Monday.
The Telegraph reported that these missiles were the most powerful missiles Ukraine had access to. The American missiles were not the only ones in the country has access to, however.
Ukraine also possesses long-range heavy missiles from the U.K. and France as well. These are assumably still in possession of Ukraine. Interestingly, Trump also ordered the U.K. to cease intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
French President Emmanuel Macron met with British Prime Minister in February where they discussed the future of backing Ukraine as Trump tries to make peace. Macron himself has a plan to deploy European troops in Ukraine.
On Wednesday Macron again signaled his support for Ukraine against Russia in a warlike address to his nation.
On Friday the Ukrainian Dictator met with Trump at the White House. After Zelensky refused peace and became belligerent, Trump told the Dictator that he is gambling with WWIII.
