A pair of illegal aliens with criminal records were “easily captured” after crashing their motorcycle, according to a comical description of events published by U.S. Border Patrol (USBP).
On Saturday, USBP El Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gregory Bovino shared information about the bust, which unfolded recently in California.
Nicknaming the bumbling duo as “Harry and Lloyd” – a reference to characters from the movie Dumb and Dumber – Chief Bovino detailed a “clumsy attempt to enter the US” by two illegals with unspecified prior convictions.

The men reportedly cut through the border fence and hopped back on their motorbike – which they “struggled to operate” – before crashing and attempting to flee on foot.
They were “easily caught” by USBP agents a short time later, according to Bovino.
Bovino said a similar incident played out the following day in El Centro Sector.
“We had another similar motorcycle caper a day later. Motorcycles in soft sand don’t work very well,” Bovino replied to another user on X.

USBP agents are encountering the lowest numbers of illegal crossers in more than 15 years, however, many foreign nationals are still attempting to slip into the country undetected.
