The Trump administration will be ramping up deportation efforts, according to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem.
She indicated the federal government will expand on its current “Worst First” agenda and work to remove many more illegal aliens from the U.S. as time goes on.
“We will see the number of deportations continue to rise. And illegal immigrants have the option to self-deport and come back LEGALLY in the future,” Sec. Noem stated on social media on Sunday.
“And our team at [Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)] will help us continue moving forward to make America SAFE again.”
Noem shared clips from an interview with Face the Nation on CBS in which she explained that nearly 700 known gangbangers were deported during the first month of Trump’s term, including 281 members of Tren de Aragua.
We have deported known terrorists, cartel members, and gang members from our country.

Noem discussed a stunning 95% drop in illegal border crossings since Trump took office, asserting that the military will remain on the southern frontier “until that border is completely secure.”
“We’re going to keep them there until the whole world gets the message that this is no longer Joe Biden’s world anymore. This is President Donald Trump’s country, where we have a border, where we have laws, and they apply equally to everybody,” she said.
The drop in illegal border crossings has been fantastic: 95% since @realDonaldTrump took office.

DHS announced new leadership at ICE on Sunday.
“For the past four years, our brave men and women of ICE were barred from doing their jobs—ICE needs a culture of accountability that it has been starved of under the Biden Administration,” Sec. Noem stated in a press release.
“With President Trump’s support, I am appointing new ICE leadership to deliver results that President Trump and the American people rightfully demand: Todd Lyons will serve as Acting ICE Director and Madison Sheahan as Deputy Director of ICE. Todd Lyons and Madison Sheahan are work horses, strong executors, and accountable leaders who will lead the men and women of ICE to achieve the American people’s mandate to target, arrest and deport illegal aliens.”
