Texas’ Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a message Tuesday announcing he’s launching an investigation into USA Fencing after it disqualified a female fencer for refusing to compete against a biological man posing as a woman.
Last week, Infowars covered the story of USA fencer Stephanie Turner, who was barred from competing in a USA Fencing tournament for taking a knee and refusing to fight transgender opponent Redmond Sullivan.
The tournament was not a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) event and was instead held by USA Fencing, which oversees and trains American fencers who compete in the Olympic Games.
Paxton explained the state’s investigation “will uncover documents related to USA Fencing potentially engaging in false, deceptive, and misleading acts and practices.”
“USA Fencing is on the wrong side of history and potentially the wrong side of the law due to violations of Texas consumer protection laws. USA Fencingâs policies are not only potentially illegal, but also deeply insulting to the young women like Stephanie Turner who have sacrificed so much and dedicated countless hours to compete and succeed in competitions. I will fight to stop these unfair policies, and I will never back down from defending the integrity of womenâs sports,” the AG wrote.
